An Event Management College Program Gets You Into the Field with Experience

In 2006, the event management sector in Canada employed 380,000 people. By 2015, it is projected to produce 121,000 new jobs. Now is an opportune time to attend an Event Management college program and become one of the 121,000 new workers to be employed at places such as hotels, convention and conference centres, corporations, tourism and non-profit organizations, sports and recreational organizations, festival, arts and cultural organizations and event marketing management.

Interested parties are required to submit an official transcript, demonstrating proof of successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree program. Centennial College’s event management program will also consider applicants presenting a combination of partial post-secondary education and relevant work experience, open to all disciplines. Non-academic perquisites include proof of transcript and a resume review.


As it is facilitated out of Centennial College’s Progress Campus, students benefit from practical, hands-on learning thanks to a conference centre that comprises of meeting rooms, including two large ballrooms and a variety of mid-sized meeting or breakout rooms, which come complete with high-speed Internet access, in-house audio/visual equipment and multimedia capabilities. In these facilities students have a chance to dress in uniforms similar to those they may be required to wear upon graduation from the event management college program while running the centre.
